This is the official Rate The Record Podcast! Each week, and album will be chosen (my choice, request, anniversary, etc.). Listen to the whole thing, discuss it, then we hit that bread and butter by ranking the songs and rating the record! Pretty cut and dry, right? Join me for weekly album reviews! Additionally, over on the YouTube page you can find new music reviews and deep dives into some of my all-time favourite songs! Who knows, maybe you’ll hear your favourite album on the show! Abd maybe, just maybe, this will be your new favourite music based podcast! We’re always looking for and considering albums and new music to have on the show. Episode 5A will look at Nirvana's "Nevermind." Both albums are some of the most important and massive albums in their respective discographies. Both albums were released on September 24th, 1991, so there's no way we could have decided on one over the other.

This is one of two episodes we're releasing for September 27th. For two very special 30th anniversary albums, we're looking at "Nevermind" by grunge legends Nirvana, as well as "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" by funk-rock extraordinaires Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Nirvana was a grunge rock band out of Aberdeen, Washington. The band consisted of guitarist and frontman Kurt Cobain, bassist Krist Novoselic, and drummer and backing vocalist Dave Grohl. Their second and most impactful album "Nevermind" was released in September 1991 through DGC Records. Their music can be found anywhere you get your music, both physically and digitally. Malibu Ken is a project by New York-born rapper Aesop Rock, and producer Thomas Fec (aka Tobacco). The project's self-titled album was released in January 2019 through Rhymesayers Entertainment.
