Episode 41: Therion ”Secret Of The Runes”
We're bringing back the listener requests this week, and this time for episode 41 we have Therion and their 2001 album "Secret Of The Runes"
Therion is a symphonic metal band originally formed in 1987 in Upplands Vasby, Sweden. They originally formed under the name Blitzkrieg, but would change to Megatherion in 1988, then simply to Therion shortly after. To the date of this podcast, Therion has released 17 albums over their 35-year career. On today's episode, we look at their tenth studio album "Secret Of The Runes." The album was released in October 2001 through Nuclear Blast Records and recorded at Modern Art Studio in Stockholm, Sweden. The album is a concept album regarding the nine worlds as told through Norse mythology. Allmusic gave the album 4.5/5 stars. For more merch, music and more, visit www.nuclearblast.com/eu/therion
