Episode 33: Tripping Daisy ”Jesus Hits Like the Atom Bomb”

If you think you've seen loopy before, this episode may very well top that cake! For episode 33 this week, Savannah has chosen the band Tripping Daisy and their 1998 album "Jesus Hits Like The Atom Bomb."

Tripping Daisy is a neo-psychedelic pop-rock band from Dallas, Texas. They formed in 1990 but would disband in 1999 after the sudden death of guitarist Wes Berggren. The band had hit one-hit-wonder status in 1995 when they released their album "I Am An Elastic Firecracker" which spawned their only charting single "I Got A Girl." Their 1998 album "Jesus Hits Like The Atom Bomb" was released in July of that year under Island Records. The album spawned two singles, "Waited A Light Year" and "Sonic Bloom."
