Episode 29: Primus ”Sailing the Seas of Cheese”
All aboard for episode 29! This week we set sail on one of Kris' chosen albums. Let's take a look at Primus and their 1991 album "Sailing the Seas of Cheese"
Primus is a progressive/funk-rock/metal band out of El Sobrante, California that formed in 1984. The band's most notable and longest last formation consists of Les Claypool on vocals and bass, Larry "Ler" Lalonde on guitar, and Tim "Herb" Alexander on drums and percussion. Their second studio album and major-label debut "Sailing the Seas of Cheese" was released in May 1991 under Interscope records and was recorded in Fantasy studios located in Berkeley, California. The album received positive reviews across several outlets. The album spawned the 3 singles "Jerry Was a Race Car Driver", "Tommy the Cat", and "Those Damned Blue-Collar Tweekers."
