Episode 26: U2 ”The Joshua Tree”
It's been a little while since we looked at an album celebrating an anniversary, but that changes today! For episode 26, we look at the massively successful U2 and their 1987 album "The Joshua Tree." The album turns 35 years old on March 9, 2022, so what better time than now to check it out!
U2 is a rock and alternative band from Dublin, Ireland that formed in 1976. Through the '80s and into the '90s, U2 found massive success as well as notoriety for their charitable and humanitarian efforts. Their 5th studio album "The Joshua Tree" was released in March 1987 under Island Records. The album spawned 5 hits, including "Where the Streets Have No Name", "With or Without You", "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For", "In God's Country", and "One Tree Hill."
